  1. Hi Maria - I will bow out of the contest. But I will chime in on the covers. The Hazel Wood is my favorite. The way that the color black is used is so clean and visually appealing.

I also love the vines and the shapes.

    Have a great Sunday!

  2. Hi, María! :)

I'm not gonna lie to you... As soon as I saw the picture of The Hazel Wood, I was like 'I WANT THAT ONE'. I didn't even check the other ones ahaha I love fantasy, and Melissa Albert's book is actually one of my most anticipated releases of 2018 :) Not only because of the story, which sounds so freaking interesting, both creepy and exciting, but also... THE COVER ♥ So much gold in that beauty, and so many intricate details on the artwork! I believe those details talk about the fantasy we can find in the story, but the black background gives us a spooky element, and makes us think not everything will be a bed of roses. All in all, the book has an exquisite cover, and with that plot... Sounds and looks like a perfect read! ♥

As for your question about this meme... I would be more than happy to take part in a possible blog hop. I don't know if it would work with me writing in Spanish, but I guess if I only have to write a few sentences about my pick, I can try and come up with a bilingual post ahaha You know I love this meme, and talking about the beauty of covers is something I live for ;)

Thank you for this surprise giveaway, my friend! Hope you're having a great day! ¡Un abrazo grande, María!

    1. Hi, Anto!

You're the second person to mention "The Hazel Wood" here!! I LOVE that one, too!! (Well, actually, I must confess that I ADORE all of these covers!!) But I agree with you about fantasy! I'm a HUGE fan of fantasy myself!

I also agree with everything you say about this cover. One of the qualities that really gets me interested in a cover is a lot of detail. This particular cover has a LOT of detail, and it's just fascinating!! SO glad you feel the same way I do!! :) :)

As for the plot -- I don't think I've come across anything quite like this before. It's got a very sinister vibe, too, so I'm wondering if I might feel too uncomfortable reading it..... But ,on the other hand, it's pretty intriguing, as well! Anyway, this is a really GREAT pick, I think!!

As for my second question, it would be SO AWESOME if you were to participate, Anto!! I think you'd really enjoy this!! Plus, I think your posts would be VERY interesting! As for what language you'd write them in, I do think you write well enough in English to be able to contribute posts in that language. However, if you would prefer to write bilingual posts, that's okay, too! Oh, I do hope you decide to participate!!!! It would be SO COOOOOOOL!!!! YAAAAAAASSSSS!!!! :) :) :)

You're very welcome for the surprise giveaway!! And thank YOU for ALWAYS leaving such WONDERFUL comments on ALL of my giveaway posts!!!

      ¡¡Te envío un abrazo BIEN grande a tí, también!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)

  3. They're all great but I really love Unearthed, not just because I'm a fan of the authors but also how the title is a bridge, it's very cool.
    Thanks for the giveaway!

    1. Hi, there!

Yes, they're DEFINITELY ALL GREAT!!!! I want to read all of these books, with the possible exception of "The Hazel Wood". Even though it's got such an AWESOME cover, the plot seems to have a bit of horror in it.

I agree with you about the cover of "Unearthed". It is indeed striking, and the idea of using the title itself as a visual bridge is a very original, as well as STUNNING, one!

You're very welcome for the giveaway!! Thanks for entering!! <3 :)

Yes, this is indeed a GREAT cover! To be honest, I'm not quite sure I like the plot, so I probably wouldn't pick it for myself. I still like this cover, though!

  8. The Hazel Wood cover is my fave out of these! The pretty silver and gold design really pops against the black background. And the plot of this book sounds really interesting too! Getting drawn into a mysterious fairy-tale world sounds really cool!

  10. Hello~. I gotta say Batman: Nightwalker by Marie Lu!

First of all, I've always had a huge crush on the men of Gotham.Though Damian has to be my favourite, I love Bruce all the same. From what I've heard so far, this novel stars an eighteen year old (I think) Bruce himself! Plus, have you even seen the cover? Do you not see how hot he looks? Aren't you excited about a freakin' love interest for Bruce Wayne. Yes, yes. I said "love interest" as in actual romance for once.

The shocking yellow also ties in with the subtleness of the entire thing. Like, Gotham is in Bruce's symbol. He looks so brooding, omg. Does that not thrill you, or..?!

Additionally, I've been meaning to check out all these new DC retellings, if I can even call them that. So, that sums up why I really, really want to read Batman: Nightwalker!

    2. Hi, Acey!

WOW!! LOVE your answer!! Yeah, this is a GREAT & AWESOME cover, and I'm SUPER glad that someone has finally noticed it!! I was surprised to see that no one had, so far. But now YOU have mentioned it!

Not that I would say this is my favorite cover, because I actually can't pick a favorite here. I LOVE THEM ALL!! So, of course, I DEFINITELY want to add ALL of these books to my own collection! Lol.

I LOVE all the reasons you give for liking this cover, too!! Yeah, Bruce is a VERY attractive guy (ESPECIALLY when played by Michael Keaton, my FAVORITE Batman!! Drooooool....), and it's SO interesting to get to see him at the age of eighteen!

Thanks for sharing the bit about the DC retellings! Gotta check those out!!! :) :) :)

      Thanks for such an AWESOME comment!! Good luck!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)

  11. *.* !!! All of them are beautiful cover !! Great choices =)!
But the cover of Shadowsong is my favourite (it doesn't surprize me though ... Wintersong's cover is amazing too). I just feels like it corresponds to the book (even if I haven't read it yet), the glass shattered, the background and its harmony and the fact that it feels like there's a message behind this design without telling what exactly : gorgeous ! :3
Thanks for this new giveaway (I have to catch up to lots of posts O_O) and for making it INT =) !

    1. As for your second question, I want to say that i'd be really interested but I know that with my studies, it's going to be really difficult for me to join in. I'd love to write some words on a cover I chose and love but... It won't be every saturday or even every month, it would really be.. irregular x)

    2. Hi, Sandrine!

Sorry for the VERY late reply.... I've been a bit TOO busy! :(

I think this cover is one of my top favorites in this group! And you have analyzed it VERY well! KUDOS TO YOU!! And I agree about the cover of "Wintersong", too! They pair up VERY nicely, don't you think? Thank God the publisher didn't decide to change the style of the cover designs!!

As for your answer to my second question, I know you would participate, and frequently, if you could. I understand. No worries! Studying pretty much takes over when you're in school. :) :)

You're very welcome for the giveaway!! Thanks for participating and leaving two such LOVELY comments!! HUGS!!!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)

  12. The Hazel Wood is my favorite cover. The golden drawing on the black background is stylish. I found the story seems intriguing. I really shadowsong too, colorful with flowers with a an evocative glass ball breaking.

As for the cover of "Shadowsong", this is perhaps my favorite one. It matches VERY well with the cover of "Wintersong", the previous book.
