The Cliche still is so true. There are so many books to read and so little time. I hand never read a Dr. Who book but I have watched it on and off for over 40 years. I do not know if you are a fan, but Tom Baker who wrote this novel is the actor who played the Doctor who I grew up with. I had heard that he had written a novel.

That looks like an interesting pile of books! I’ll wait till I have read a review or two of the Dr Who book; I’ve encountered books by actors before, and let’s just say that as writers they made wonderful actors! There are exceptions, of course, such as Tom Tryon, an Oscar-winning actor who turned out to be an amazing horror novelist and gave up acting for writing. But he wasn’t writing stuff about the films he had been in.
