  1. I prefer the US Cover of "The Wicked Deep" because the combination of deep blue and silver is gorgeous and also, probably, because it was the first cover version of this book that I've seen and because it simpler than the UK version which seems more "crowded". Additionaly, I like the US Cover of the "Out of the blue", from the rest of the covers featured above I didn't find any to catch my attention... Thank you for the giveaway! (Valentina B. - on the raffle)

    1. Hi, Valentina!

Oh, I LOVE the US cover of "The Wicked Deep", too!! Yes, it's the combination of deep blue and silver! I think it's also more atmospheric. However, I also like the UK cover. It, too, has a lot of blue, although in a lighter shade. I actually love all the movement in it. Maybe I would need to buy both editions, right? Lol.

As for the covers of "Out of the Blue", I definitely prefer the US cover! I just prefer the way the feather is pictured in this cover.

GREAT choices!! You're very welcome for the giveaway! Thanks for entering!! <3 :)

  2. I will bow out of the giveaway as I might not get to the book if I won it. I also think that The American Cover of The Wicked Deep is the best. I love the colors. The design is a little understated but so well done.

    1. Hi, Brian!

I, too, LOVE the US cover for the "The Wicked Deep"! It's just GORGEOUS!! However, in my comment to Valentina above, I mentioned that I also LOVE the UK cover of this book. I don't think I can pick one over the other! Lol. I think each of these covers has appealing qualities. The US cover is simpler, but SO atmospheric! As Valentina stated, the deep blue and silver are PERFECT together. You really get the feeling of night. The UK cover has a very rhythmic, powerful design, and in shades of a beautiful blue-green! So I really love BOTH of these covers!!

Thanks for commenting!! Hope you're having a nice week!! <3 :)

  3. I prefer and absolutely love the UK cover of The Wicked Deep. Oh my gosh it's so beautiful! The details of that cover are freaking amazing. The birds, the tiny skull, the hand reaching out of the water (what is that even about?!) :o I'm sure it's all connected to the story. I always love blue covers and I also really adore the purple mixed in. GORGEOUS!

Also, thank you for the giveaway, Maria! ♥

    1. Hi, Steph!

As I stated in my comments to Valentina and Brian above, I really LOVE both of these covers!! I don't think I'd be able to choose one over the other.

What I especially love about the UK cover is the rhythmic design, as well as the colors. The details you mention are important, too, and really make this cover stand out.

OMG....I'm thinking that I will have to buy both of these books, as I can't choose between them! Lol.

      You're very welcome for the giveaway!! Thanks for entering!! HUGS!!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)

It seems that this book is the one most of you guys are interested in. GREAT!!

As I stated in the comments above, I actually can't choose one of these covers over the other. Lol. As for the UK cover of "The Wicked Deep", I totally agree -- the stylized look is what makes this cover really stand out! I LOVE it!!

Thanks for entering the giveaway!! <3 :)

  5. I love the UK version of Between the Blade and the Heart. Although both of pretty, I am drawn to the pinks, reds and whites. Which is odd because you know I'm a purple gal!

    1. Hi, Barb!

You know, I, too, prefer the UK cover of "Between the Blade and Heart"! I LOVE the combination of colors you mention! I do agree that purple is a lovely color, although I'm "a blue gal" myself, lol. But really, there's just something about this cover that I absolutely love! Aside from the colors, I think it'a all the feathers! :)

Thanks for entering the giveaway!! HUGS TO YOU AND THE PUPS, AND WOOF, WOOF, TO THEM!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)

  6. Hi, Lily!

Yes, both of these covers are great! It was hard for me to pick, too. I think I lean more toward the UK version, but the US cover is certainly inventive!

Thanks for entering the giveaway!! <3 :)

  8. I like better the US Cover of "The Wicked Deep" because the colors are great and with the drawings the cover is elegant. Or maybe it is I am just fond of trees.

  9. What a giveaway, my friend! ♥ As usual, you're putting us all in a tough spot with your picks! How can you make us choose just one cover? They're all stunning! ^^
Despite this, this is really simple for me. Not only I'm dying to read The Wicked Deep and I would choose it without even thinking about it, but also, it has the most beautiful covers! Yes, both the US edition and the UK one. From what I've heard of the story, both designs represent something about it. The US cover is definitely centered on the witchery aspect of the plot, with the moon, the tree branches and that pentacle, whereas the UK one goes for the deep waters where those three sisters where drowned. I love it when covers represent something about the story. The colors used in both cases are perfect, simple but dark at the same time. If I had to choose just one, I think I'd go for the US one, simply because the whole design on it is actually holographic, and that's amazing! ♥

¡¡Un abrazo grande, MarĆa!! Espero que estĆ©s muy bien :) :)

    1. Hi, Anto!

Yeah, I KNOW I've made it hard for you guys to pick a favorite cover! Hee, hee!! :) :)

I LOVE your detailed analysis of the US and UK covers of "The Wicked Deep"!! GREAT JOB!! I might ask you to write a future guest post for "Shelf Candy Saturday"! :) :)

I actually LOVE both covers, so I would have a VERY tough time myself, choosing one over the other! Everything you've written about each of them is very true, and makes them each very appealing!

I had not noticed that the US cover is holographic. You must have seen an actual copy of the book, right?

Well, thank you so much for participating, and writing such a LOVELY comment!! Sorry for the delayed reply.... :(

      ¡SĆ, estoy muy bien! ¡Espero que tĆŗ tambiĆ©n lo estĆ©s! ¡¡Un abrazo grande de regreso para tĆ!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)

  10. I love the US cover for Piecing Me Together. It's a stunning colourful illustrated cover and while the UK one is nice, the US edition is hard to pass up. I'm really looking forward to reading it after loving Renee Watsons' This Side of Home.

  11. I LOVE the US cover of 'The Wicked Deep'

It's dark and mysterious. It includes elements of witchcraft that compliment the synopsis of the book perfectly. And the blue! I just love it!
