Not all of those candidates are fit for the role, and if The Adventurer falls into the wrong hands, it can lead to chaos and destruction.

Constance still has all the skills of her old life, but she's no longer chosen. Yet, when the fate of the world is at stake, she sets off, reluctantly, to keep the forces of evil from stealing the destiny she abandoned.



Why I can't wait for this one!

Ohhhh......a snarky heroine?! And she kicks major butt while firing off her snarky comments? Give it to me now!! Gotta get this and devour it! And that cover looks so  intense, as well as funny! I know I'm really going to enjoy this book!! Lol.

A. Lee Martinez was born in El Paso, Texas. At the age of eighteen, for no apparent reason, he started writing novels. Thirteen short years (and a little over a dozen manuscripts) later, his first novel, Gil's All Fright Diner, was published. His hobbies include juggling, games of all sorts, and astral projecting. Also, he likes to sing along with the radio when he's in the car by himself.

    Bring on the snark! You know how much I love snark. I own the first one so now maybe I'll be inspired to pick it up...who am I kidding (as I look at the stack of library books I'm trying to work through). Thanks so much for sharing this one because I had no idea a sequel was coming out.

      Yeah, snark RULES!!! I sure loved it when Jane, the protagonist of "Dread Nation", made all of those snarky comments!! Sometimes she did so while dealing with zombies, too!! Lol.

      Oh, you own the first book in this trilogy? So you DEFINITELY have to read them back to back!! YAAAAASSSSS!!!!

      If we didn't already have "The Hate U Give" for our July buddy read, I'd say, "Let's go with these two books!!|" But we can work them in later, right? I think it's a GREAT idea!! :) :)

    Wow that cover kinda blew me away when I saw it! I love how she's fighting a snake thing w/ one hand and checking her phone with the other. :) Plus I just like that name Constance verity ha ha!

      Oh, I TOTALLY agree! In fact, when I saw the first cover on Goodreads, I was like, HUH?! Yeah, the second oneis MUCH more dynamic, and also MUCH funnier!!
