Why I can't wait for this one!
Well, this sure sounds like an EXCITING book!! I hope there isn't too much scary stuff in it..... However, I've heard only GREAT things about Bray, and this series is supposed to be top-notch! So I think I'll give it a go! (Of course, I do need to start from the beginning....lol.)
Here are the two previous
books in this series!!

I do know the author's name, but I haven't really been inclined to pick up here work -- I shall just have to wait for your reviews :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Verushka!
DeleteShe's pretty well-known n the YA genre. I've been meaning to start reading Bray's Gemma Doyle trilogy, which I've owned for quite some time now, lol. The three books are: "A Great and Terrible Beauty", "Rebel Angels", and "The Sweet Far Thing". So I might start with those.
Thanks for commenting!! Have a great day!! <3 :)
I've not read this series but really want to. I love the facts about Libba Bray. If you've never read Going Bovine you should. I picked it up at the library once because of the cover and loved every minute I spent reading it. I think the covers are all rather disjointed though and wish they have stayed more true to the original vibe.
ReplyDeleteHi, Barb!
DeleteAlthough I've heard a lot of good things about this author, I STILL haven't read any of her books! And I do own her Gemma Doyle trilogy....sigh....
"Going Bovine"? Well, I've just looked it up on Goodreads, and it does sound interesting. I just might give it a try. Thanks for the rec!!
Yeah, I hear you about the covers! The same thing happened with Andrea Cremer's Nightshade series.... That first cover is GORGEOUS, and they completely changed the style of the second one! So the covers no longer matched.... AAARRRHHHHHH!! I read on the Internet how many, many fans wrote to the publisher to complain about this totally RIDICULOUS change, but to no avail.... You can see for yourself if you check out Cremer's profile on Goodreads. The covers JUST.DO.NOT.MATCH. *shakes head in disbelief*
Are you surprised that I picked a book with such a creepy cover? Lol. The thing is, I didn't really notice the image on it. It was all that BEAUTIFUL BLUE that pulled me in! Lol. As for the title, I took it as a promise that the devil would NOT win out in the end!! :) :) :)
Thanks for always dropping by and commenting on my CWW post!! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO YOU & YOUR FUR BABIES!! HUGS!!!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)
Wow! Such a creepy looking cover! Great pick!

Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog
Hi, Ronyell!
DeleteYeah, it sure is! I really didn't notice that when I chose this book.... I was just pulled in by all the blue! Lol.
Thanks for commenting!! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY tomorrow, if you're a mom!! <3 <3 :) :)
Oooh this looks creepy!! I haven't read the previous books in the series, but they look really good and unique! I hope you LOVE this one when you read it, Maria! HUGS! <3 <3 :) :)

Amy @ A Magical World Of Words
Hi, Amy!
DeleteYeah, you're right -- this IS a creepy cover! As I told Barb and Ronyell in my replies to their comments, I really didn't notice the image on the cover. I just focused on all that GORGEOUS, ELECTRIC BLUE!!! You see, blue is my favorite color! Lol.
Thanks for always commenting on my CWW posts!! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to your mom tomorrow!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)
I haven't started the Diviners series yet, but I have collected the first two books. I want to start it when it's complete! I love the creepy cover (but you know I like creepy, lol), and you have me really wanting to start these sooner than I had planned. I think I have fallen in love with the author based on the facts about her, which I just love that you included. You made this such an informative post, and I appreciate it so much. Wonderful choice! I hope that we both love this series when we get to read it :) *HUGS* <3 <3 <3
ReplyDeleteHi, Michele!!!
DeleteI haven't started this series, either.... I know it's supposed to be GREAT, though! But yeah, I do agree with you that it would be better to start it when it's actually complete.
To be honest, I had not really noticed just how creepy this cover is! Lol. All I saw was ALL THAT BLUE!! Hahaha!! As you know, blue is my absolutely FAVORITE color, so every time I see it on a book cover, it's INSTA-LOVE!! Lol.
Yeah, her bio is a load of fun! I love the way she wrote it!
You're very welcome for all the information! I never used to include an author bio on these posts, but then one day, I decided to. Why? Because the author I was featuring was VERY cute, lol. In fact, he looks a LOT like Pierce Brosnan. Lol!! So then, since I included a bio for HIM, I thought it was only fair to do so for other authors, too, from then on.
BTW, the author's name is Sebastian de Castell. The book he wrote is titled "Spellslinger". You can check out that post at the following link:

Or you can just go back to March 8 on my blog, and take a look at that post. You'll see what I mean about the author looking like Pierce!!
I KNOW we will both LOVE this book when it comes out!!
Thank you for such a sweet, lovely comment!! *SMOOOOSHY HUGS BACK* <3 <3 <3 <3 :) :) :) :)
