we book bloggers
are eagerly anticipating!
Here's my pick for this week!
When an unusual cargo drags airship-pilot Elle Chance into the affairs of the mysterious Mr. Marsh, she must confront her destiny and do everything in her power to stop the Alchemists from unleashing a magical apocalypse.
Here's my pick for this week!
(The Chronicles of Light and Shadow #1)
Hardcover, 352 pages
Del Rey
March 5, 2013
Historical Fiction, Paranormal Romance, Steampunk, Urban Fantasy
From the Goodreads Synopsis
In a Golden Age where spark reactors power the airways, and creatures of Light and Shadow walk openly among us, a deadly game of Alchemists and Warlocks has begun.
As usual, the cover attracted me...
I love books set in Paris,
a city I long to visit...
The cover of this one also has
a World War II atmosphere, it seems.
Of course, Steampunk
is a mix of one or more historical
settings, which is what
makes it so quirky and appealing!
I can feel that this novel
will be a terrific bestseller, so
I'm making sure to put it
on my TBR pile right away!!

You always choose really interesting looking books Maria!
ReplyDeleteLooks really interesting. I have not actually read any steam punk but some of my friends and relatives are big fans.
For some reason I also have fascination with airships so this really seems appealing.
Hey, Brian!
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you so much for the compliment!! Yes, this cover certainly does look interesting, as does the plot inside the book! I still haven't gotten into Steampunk, but I will, never fear!
Airships are definitely interesting. It used to be that, in the summertime, the Goodyear blimp used to 'cruise' up and down Miami Beach. I haven't been to the beach in a long time (because we've heard reports of shark attacks) so I'm wondering if it still does... I wonder what it's like to ride on one of those things. I can certainly understand your fascination with them!
Great comment!! :)
Sounds interesting! I know some people who would like it. I'll have to share it.
