Hi, Carol!
DeleteOh, yeah, I LOVE pirate costumes, too!! :)
You're very welcome for the giveaway! Thanks for commenting!! <3 :)
ANY by Kyle MacLachlan, that man's a genius!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi, Reese,
DeleteThe question you were supposed to answer is about favorite Halloween costumes, NOT favorite movies!
I'm sorry, but your comment doesn't count for the giveaway. You will have to make another one.
Darynda Jones' series is amazing! I have fallen behind on it but I love Charley.
ReplyDeleteHi, Kristin,
DeletePlease refer to the question asked in the Rafflecopter. It has nothing to do with which book you would like to win.
I'm sorry, but your comment doesn't count for the giveaway. You will have to make another one.
I never really dress up for Halloween, but if I did I'd love to be Wonder Woman! Or Harley Quinn, except I'd need a blonde wig then, lol ;)
ReplyDeleteSo sorry I haven't been around to your blog in ages, Maria! I'm so behind on your WOW posts especially 🙈🙈 I'm hoping to come round for a proper catch-up soon. Hope you're having an amazing October so far <3 <3 HUGS!! :) :)
Hi, Amy!!
DeleteOhm I would LOVE to dress up as Wonder Woman!! The only problem is, I'd have to lose some weight first.....Lol.
I haven't heard of Harley Quinn, but she must be some character, for you to pick her! :)
No worries! I'm WAY behind on commenting myself! There are quite a few comments, such as the ones on this post, that I need to reply to! And I need to visit some blogs, as well, and comment back! :) :)
I'm glad you're participating in this giveaway! Thanks for commenting!! HUGS RIGHT BACK AT YA!!!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)
My favorite costume was when I was a vampire or a witch. Thanks for the great giveaway and Happy Halloween!! :D

You're very welcome for the giveaway! Happy Halloween to you, too!! <3 <3 :) :)
When I was in elementary school, I dressed up like a princess and I really liked that costume. Another costume I really like are Wonder Woman costumes.
ReplyDeleteHi, Uhunoma!
DeleteWOW, your name reminds me of the character Uhura from the classic "Star Trek" series!! :) :)
Those sound like GREAT costumes!! I would especially like to dress up as Wonder Woman!!
Thanks for commenting!! <3 :)
My mother made my sister and I the most AMAZING Halloween costumes every year. One year we were Raggedy Ann and Andy - complete with wigs made from crepe paper! I think my favorite was the year we were Sylvester and Tweetie from Looney Toons - these were complete head to toe suits make of felt and faux fur. She was an amazing seamstress!
ReplyDeleteHim, TerriBruce!
DeleteAwwww.....how sweet that your mom made you those costumes! Raggedy Ann and Andy are SO CUTE!! And so are Sylvester and Tweetie! "Thufferin' thuccotash"!! HILARIOUS!!
It sounds like your mom went all out on these costumes!! You guys were SO lucky to have such a talented seamstress for a mother!! :) :)
Thanks for the GREAT comment!! Happy Halloween!! <3 <3 :) :)
I never really dressed up for halloween (as it's not done a lot where I live) but I still love the classic halloween costumes like vampires and witches. Also think dressing up as a Shadowhunter would be pretty cool. :D
ReplyDeleteHi, Stephanie!
DeleteYeah, those classic witch and vamp costumes are GREAT! But I agree with you -- a Shadowhunter costume would SO COOL, not to mention AWESOME!!
Thanks for the nice comment!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) )
I don't dress up, it was hard growing up a fat book nerd so that quashed any desire to do it. However, I have this co-worker who's a seamstress and I LOVE hearing about all the costumes and stuff she's made. I also so saw this costume a couple of years ago and haven't forgotten it. It's the first costume that comes to mind specifically.

Hi, Brooke!
DeleteAwwww....I can understand how you must have felt....but you should have dressed up anyway! I'm not exactly on the tin side myself, and I still dress up! I just don't wear anything too revealing, lol.
I just checked out the costume at the link you provided. SO CUTE!! Yeah, curvy girls ROCK!! LOVE it!!
Thanks for the TERRIFIC comment!! <3 <3 :) :)

One year my son wanted to enter the school Halloween costume contest, so he was really into The Hulk, so I made him green and put some torn clothes on him that looked too small and he entered. He was so happy when he won and I was so surprised, but he did look the part!!
ReplyDeleteHi, Judy!
DeleteOh, that's AWESOME!! I remember watching "The Hulk" and crushing on Bill Bixby! ( watched the reruns.)
Sounds like you really went all out on his costume, if he won the costume contest!! KUDOS to you!! GREAT!!

I made a gorilla costume for my young son out of an old fur coat one Halloween . He was so scared of it after he put it on and seen himself in the mirror.I wish I had kept it. Tho I do have photos of him in the costume.
ReplyDeleteHi, Ann!

I loved dressing up as a dog one year....I even barked, I was a bit of a dork back then.
ReplyDeleteHi, Aurora!
DeleteOh, HILARIOUS!! And you even barked? LOL. But I don't think that's dorky AT ALL. Maybe that's because I tend to be dorky myself, lol. But hey, we dorks can sure have a LOT of fun!! LOL.
Thanks for the great comment!! <3 :)
My favorite costume was actually when my son dressed up as the zombie sock monkey. He played it off so well! He also did the stay puff marshmallow man from ghost busters. We played the them song as he walked down the street. We go all out every year. I love Halloween. Thank you for the giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Tanya!
DeleteOMG, those costumes sound SO FUNNY!! Lol. Especially the marshmallow man. And you guys even played the theme song from the movie! AWESOME!! That's one of my favorite movies, BTW.
I like Halloween, although not the gory or scary aspects of it. I prefer stuff like "Ghostbusters". And, as you can see from the books I've featured here, I prefer to read PNR and UF, with humor included.
You're very welcome for the giveaway! Thanks for the great comment!! <3 :)
my favorite costume for hallowen is a fairy or a character that I really like that is mulan I love everything about her aver if I have the opportunity to dress like her
ReplyDeleteHi, Monse!

Thanks for commenting!! <3 :)
Thank you for the amazing giveaway, Maria! My favorite costume that I wore was Cruella de Vil; we had a costume party at the laboratory I worked at, and I won! I definitely went all out with the costume and was completely in character. It was so much fun. And my favorite costume that Mckenzie wore was an adorable Piglet costume that my mom sewed for her. She was only 2 1/2 and she told everyone she was "Pliget" instead of Piglet. A favorite memory for sure. Thank you again for the chance! Happy fall and happy reading! Love you!! <3 <3 <3
ReplyDeleteHi, Michele!
DeleteYou're more than welcome for the giveaway!! <3 <3
I have given my readers some suggestions for books they could choose, but whoever wins can pick any Halloween-related book they want. I myself prefer funny PNR and UF books, but if someone wants a creepy book, then that's what I'll order for them. :)
OMG, you were Cruella de Vil? And you being such a kind person! Lol. How original!! I'm sure it was a LOT of fun! I wish I could have seen you in that costume! AWESOME!! :)
I also wish I could have seen Mckenzie dressed up as Piglet. And how CUTE that she pronounced the name "Pliget" instead!! SO ADORABLE!! Yes, that is indeed a memory to treasure!! <3 <3
You're welcome again for the chance!! Happy fall and happy reading to you, too! Love you guys to Vulcan and back!! SUPER TACKLE HUGS TO YOU & MCKENZIE!!!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)
I think the best Halloween costume I have ever seen is someone who went as a box of wine... Complete with a spigot and wine. Very popular girl that night, had to keep refilling her wine supply.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, your image at the top of your blog has killed me from cute overload. I am dead.
Hi, Amy!
DeleteOh, that's SO HILARIOUS!!! :) :) That girl should have won a prize! That was a VERY original costume! I can see how she would have been very popular that night! Lol.
I'm so glad you like my header! Yes, it IS very cute, isn't it? I LOVE the expression on the pumpkin's face! And the black kitten is SO ADORABLE! Thanks for mentioning this! <3 <3
I picked this image as my Halloween header because I don't like gory, creepy, or scary scenes for Halloween. As you can see, all of my book suggestions involve humor. But they're just suggestions. The winner can pick any Halloween-related book they want, even if it's creepy. :)
Thanks so much for the great comment!! <3 <3 :) :)
When we were younger..I dressed as a hot dog and hubs was a bun..when he hugged me we bacame one unit..lol!

There's one thing you forgot, though. You need to answer the question in the Rafflecopter, which is about your favorite Halloween costume.
Thanks for dropping by! <3 :)
Everything is fantastic to me, except for the clowns, lol. Mybe mostly aka Freddy Krueger.
ReplyDeleteHi, Irma!
DeleteYeah, I don't like clowns, either! Recently, I've been hearing about people dressed up as clowns committing crimes. So clowns are out.
As for Freddy Krueger, I don't like him, either. Too creepy!!
Thanks for commenting!! <3 :)

As you know, we don't celebrate Halloween here in my country - I know, bummer! I've never worn a costume, but I've always thought it would be really cool to dress up as the Wicked Witch of the West :D :D
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a fantastic Halloween, María!!! :D :D
PS: I'd written a longer comment, but thank God I double checked, apparently it wasn't posted! ¡Un abrazo grande, amiga! (prometo enviarte un mail en estos días, tengo ganas de platicar contigo!!)
Hi, Antonela!
DeleteYeah, I know. Halloween is basically an Anglo-Saxon holiday. Lol. Of course, we Cubans who came to the States celebrate it, too.
I have a Harry Potter costume that I actually wore on 9/27, when I went to get my hair done, I go to a beauty school near our condo. I heard that the student hairdressers were going to wear costumes, so I decided to wear one, too! Lol.
Halloween Day itself was not that memorable for me. I had to work, and people there don't wear costumes that often. :( However, there WAS one staff member dressed in an anime costume. She looked GREAT!! I had told my students we would have a party. Half the class came in. But the food was TERRIFIC!! And I wore a little witch hat. Lol.
Dressing up as the Wicked Witch of the West sounds AWESOME!! I'm sure you would look FABULOUS in such a costume!! :D :D :D
I'm SO glad you double-checked! And I'm also glad you posted the comment again!!
Thanks for another lovely comment, Anto!!!! HUGS/ABRAZOS!!!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 : ) : ) : )
