A twenty-four-hour romance about two teens who meet—and perhaps change their minds about love—on a train ride to Upstate New York in the middle of a snowstorm

One train ride. Two strangers.

Noah is a hopeless romantic. He’s heading back home for one last chance with his first love, whom he broke up with when he went off to college.

Ammy doesn’t believe in true love—her parents being prime examples. She’s escaping from a mom who can’t take care of her to a dad who may not even want her. That is, until one winter night when Noah and Ammy find themselves in the same Amtrak car heading to Upstate New York.

After a train-wreck first encounter between the two of them, the Amtrak train suddenly breaks down due to a snowstorm. Desperate to make it to their destinations, Noah and Ammy have no other option but to travel together. What starts off as a minor detour turns into the whirlwind journey of a lifetime, and over the course of the night they fall in love. But come morning their adventure takes an unexpected turn for the worst. Can one night can really change how they feel about love...and the course of their lives forever?

Why I can't wait for this one!

OMG!! I can't believe it!! I've come across another romance with a snowy setting! LOVE it!! And of course I MUST have this one, as well!! Having lived in South Florida most of my life, I've been yearning to experience snow at least ONCE in this life! I think there's just something very magical and beautiful about snow and romance! Yeah, I know....I'm a starry-eyed romantic....and I wouldn't want to be any different! This book is MINE. ABSOLUTELY!!!

Leah Konen grew up in a two-stoplight farming town in Washington State before moving to suburban North Carolina, where there were many more stoplights and lots of sweet tea. After studying journalism at the University of North Carolina, she headed to New York City to pursue her dream of becoming a writer. When she’s not working on novels and articles or writing for fashion brands, she enjoys devouring new books, spoiling her dog, Farley, biking around Brooklyn, checking out live music, and binge-watching TV.

  1. Oh my gosh this sounds like such a delicious, fun romance!! Snow??!! Yes please!!! Two teens stuck together??!! Yes please!! You're right, snow always makes romances so magical, and this looks especially amazing.

    1. Hi, Amy!

It CERTAINLY does!!! And I guess we both have a thing for snow and romance, right? Lol. But heck, tropical heat and the beach just don't do it for me! Same for you, right? Ha! It just hit me! "Fun in the sun" romances don't appeal to me because I equate the heat and the beach with shallow, casual relationships. On the other hand, romance novels with a snowy setting mean commitment and deep love. At least they do, to me. AMAZING, huh? Look what I've discovered!! Lol.

I won't be able to even get this book until the beginning of next year.....:( But it certainly has a Christmasy feeling, doesn't it? I KNOW I'll LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!

      Thanks for the GREAT comment!! HUGS!!!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)

Yes, it does!! Unfortunately, it comes out next January.... I would have loved to be able to read it around Christmas.... Oh, well! I will DEFINITELY grab it, though!!

  4. I'll be honest, the snowy setting does a lot in convincing me to read this book. I agree it sounds like a great holiday read but it comes out 1/2/18 - which is technically still the holiday season but I'd rather have it before Christmas. Still, it's going on the wishlist.

Both Boxer Boys are saying "WOOF" this morning and want to let you know they hijacked Mom's post today!

    1. Hi, Barb!

Yes, the snowy setting is just PERFECT. I LOVE the combination of snow and romance!!! Read my reply to Amy Nikita above, and you'll see why. It never hit me before, but now I know. Lol.

It's really too bad this book won't be out until after Christmas. It's just not the same.... I LOVE to read Christmas-themed romance novels when the season kicks off, right after Thanksgiving! I just don't want to read anything else during that special time! But, of course, I'm still getting this book. I just NEED it! Lol.

Those Boxer Boys are SO funny! "WOOF" back to them! And they've hijacked your blog AGAIN?! LOLZ!!!! I gotta go take a look! :) :)

      Thanks for the GREAT comment!! HUGGLES TO YOU & THE BOYS!!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)

  5. The snow settings do something to make romance more swoony, don't know why either. This sounds really good, nice pick!

    1. Hi, Jenea!

You know, I think it's just the coziness of being somewhere warm with the one you love, while it snows outside....sigh.... But yes, romance novels with a snowy setting are just more swoony.

It hit me, just a few minutes ago, that these romance novels speak to me of deep love and commitment. See my reply to Amy Nikita, above. "Fun in the sun" romances just don't do it for me!

Glad you like my pick! Thanks for the nice comment!! <3 :)

    1. Hi, Gennifer!

Yeah, "adorable" is a GREAT word for this romance novel! Like the one from last week, this one has a snowy setting, too. I have a thing for romance novels with snowy settings. Lol. I think it's the coziness of being somewhere warm with your one true love! Sigh....

Like "Kiss Me In New York" (the one from last week), this one is a DEFINITE read for me! They both sound SO cute!!

    1. Hi, Lisa!

Yeah, I'm not much of one, either. However, from time to time, I come across gems like this one, and the book from my last CWW, "Kiss Me In New York", and I'm TOTALLY smitten!! :) :)

Romance novels with snowy settings REALLY pull me in!! It's that Christmasy feeling, plus the coziness of being close to the one you love while snow gently falls outside..... Sigh....

      Thanks for commenting!! <3 :)
