HAPPY NEW YEAR
TO EVERYONE!!!

This week's featured blogs
are

Inked Brownies

and.....

A Night's Dream of Books!!

Here are my answers to the
interview questions:

1.) When did you start blogging?

I started in September of 2010. It's just incredible how fast time has gone by! But yes, I've been blogging for 5 years now!

2.) What is your favorite part of book blogging?

I really can't pick just one. When I first got started, I really enjoyed experimenting with blog designs. I finally settled into my present design, which I ADORE, because it's got so much BLUE in it!

Of course, I LOVE blogging about books! I love reading YA, and other genres, as well. In fact, I have a blog for literary fiction, classics, and nonfiction, titled MindSpirit Book Journeys.

And last but definitely NOT least, I LOVE meeting other book bloggers, building relationships with them, participating in giveaways....Did I mention that I just LOVE EVERYTHING about book blogging?

3.) What type of books do you mainly blog about?

At the beginning, I had an eclectic blog. As time went by, though, I decided to start a second blog, and this one, A Night's Dream of Books, became dedicated to YA, with an occasional adult or New Adult book thrown in. I already mentioned my other blog above, lol.

4.) What are your favorite books?

OMG, I would probably spend all day here, telling you guys about those.... But I can single out the ones that come up right away. Of course, there's The Twilight Saga, the Harry Potter series, the Vampire Academy series....and I LOVE Claudia Gray's books! My favorite YA genres are fantasy, PNR, and UF.

Although it's not YA, I just have to mention my favorite classic of all time: Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Brontë. Oh, the adoration....

5.) What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

The VERY best? Being one of the featured bloggers on Feature & Follow Friday!! YAY!!!!!

Here is this week's question:

  3. Happy New Year Maria!

It is so interesting that when we book bloggers talk about the positives aspects of blogging we almost always talk about the community of bloggers. The connections that we make is one of the things that make it so worthwhile.

I agree about time going by so fast. I am almost at the four year mark of book blogging and it feels as if time has gone by so fast.

    1. Hey, Brian!

Happy New Year to you, too! And to your family, as well!!

You are so right about the blogging community! It is definitely very rewarding to connect with fellow book addicts and compare notes. After all, blogging in a vacuum is very lonely. So it's totally awesome when these connections are made, and lasting friendship is the result!

As for time going by fast, I feel that this last year just zipped by at warp speed 10! I didn't know you had been blogging for 4 years! CONGRATS!!

Thanks for the nice comment!! : )

  5. Congratulations on being a featured blogger. I received that privilege a couple of weeks of ago. I'm still pretty new in the game, but am a big fan of YA lit. The new Cassandra Clare is definitely on my list and so is Truthwitch. I'm pretty curious how both of those will turn out.
You've given me some good additional options to add to my TBR pile too.

Thank you so much! I'm honored to be featured!

Since you're new to blogging, then welcome to the blogosphere! It's GREAT that you love YA!! I'm supposed to be receiving "Truthwitch" soon, since I won it in a giveaway, and can hardly wait! Of course, anything by Cassandra Clare has got to be amazing!

I'm glad my list also added to your TBR pile! I'm always adding new books to mine, which I discover on other blogs.

Thanks for dropping by, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!! : )
