This is a weekly book meme, hosted by
Jill @ Breaking the Spine,
which features future releases that
we book bloggers
we book bloggers
are eagerly anticipating!
Here's my pick for this week!
I really must start reading this series!
I can't believe there are four
books in it already!!
All of the previous books
have been widely acclaimed by several
sources, including book blogs.
I love that Mead has brought
alchemists into the general vampire mix,
thus adding intrigues galore
to her already interesting plot!
So yes, I'm most assuredly waiting
for this novel!
The other three in this series are
also waiting.... for their most recent sibling
to join them on my bookshelves!!
(Bloodlines #4)
Hardcover, 416 pages
Razorbill
November 19, 2013
Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy, YA
From the Goodreads Synopsis
The struggle isn't over for Sydney. As she navigates the aftermath of her life-changing decision, she still finds herself pulled in too many directions at once. Her sister Zoe has arrived, and while Sydney longs to grow closer to her, there's still so much she must keep secret. Working with Marcus has changed the way she views the Alchemists, and Sydney must tread a careful path as she harnesses her profound magical ability to undermine the way of life she was raised to defend. Consumed by passion and vengeance, Sydney struggles to keep her secret life under wraps as the threat of exposure—and re-education—looms larger than ever.

What do you think of my choice?
I agree that it truly does sound like a good idea to mix the idea of alchemy in with the popular trend of vampires.
ReplyDeleteAlchemy is an old idea that folks do not seem to talk about much these days. Good to see that an author u=is reviving the idea.
I'm nit a fan of Vampires but I really want to start this series myself, great pick! :)
ReplyDeleteCome Check Out My WOW
Hey, Brian!
ReplyDeleteThis is supposed to be a terrific series, and I already have the first three volumes (gotta stop doing that...), so I'm definitely looking forward to this one!
You know, alchemy was also mentioned in the Harry Potter books, although, as I remember, Rowling didn't delve into it deeply. I don't know much about it myself, but I would like to. It does seem to be a fascinating topic.
Thanks for commenting!! :)
Yes! Amazing pick! Oh my god Richelle Mead is amazing! I loved The Bloodlines series and Fiery Heart is going to be in Sydney and Adrien's PoV!!
ReplyDeleteGreat pick!
