Books Won In Giveaway!!

I won these books in a giveaway
held by Baggins @ Pinker Than Fiction!!
Thank you so much to her!!
I've had these two in my Goodreads TBR
for a long time. Now I will finally
get to read them!!

Amazon Kindle Purchases

I entered the blog tour giveaway to
hopefully win a paperback copy
of this book. Meanwhile, I
had already bought the Kindle edition.
Well, I didn't win, so I will be
buying the paperback a bit later on!

I got most of these books for FREE,
but always check prices first!
Kindle books are free for
limited periods of time, and then they
do have a price.

Coloring Book Update

I recently bought some coloring books,
and jumped on the wagon of
this great new craze!
Here's my first project, which is in progress.

This design is from the gorgeous book
shown below!

What do you think of my haul
this week?

the comments so I can come over
to your blog and see yours!!

    Grace @ Books of Love

    1. Hi, Grace!

Thank you! Yes, the mandalas in this book are amazing. They're all beautiful, especially the ones in the first half of the book. I'm glad I started coloring, and I owe it to you!! You have inspired me, so thanks!!!!

And thanks for the lovely comment back!! : )

  2. All those books sound really nice!! The Name of the Wind has such a beautiful cover <3

    Lipstick and Mocha

    1. Hi, Carla!

I'm glad you lke them! And I agree -- "The Name of the Wind" does have a beautiful cover!

I know I'll enjoy reading these books! Thanks for the great comment!! <3 : )

  3. It's always exciting to win books in a giveaway so congratulations! I need to enter more but my memory is so bad that I never remember which blogs I entered on so I forget to check back! Enjoy your books!

    1. Hi, Chuckles!

Oh, it definitely is!! I was SO happy to get these two books!! The giveaway allowed participants to pick whichever book or books they wanted. Thanks for the congrats!!!

You know, I'm the same way with giveaways! But I figure that, if I don't get an email notifying me I've won, that obviously means I haven't. Lol. I should really keep a record of giveaways entered, though.

I will definitely enjoy these books! Thanks for the lovely comment!! : )

  4. I think that you featured Prudence on either Shelf Candy Saturday or another feature. I have never read Steampunk but the genre looks so interesting that I want to give it a try.

I am also really interested in airships including the history of the real ones. Based on the summery of this book I think that one features prominently in the plot.

    1. Hey, Brian!

Yes, I think it was either on "Shelf Candy Saturday", or "Waiting On Wednesday". I have never read Steampunk, either, would you believe? And I'm SO interested in doing so! I love the mix of alternate history and science fiction in these books!

I've noticed that most Steampunk novels feature an airship on their covers. It seems that airships usually feature prominently in these novels.

Somewhere back in my high school World History classes, I remember reading about the Hindenburg disaster. I believe that was when the idea of using airships was discarded, as they were then deemed too dangerous for commercial passenger use. It's fascinating that they are included in these Steampunk novels.

Down here in South Florida, we had "the Goodyear blimp". Years ago, it used to be seen a lot, especially on summer days, floating along the coast, on Miami Beach. I haven't been to the beach there in several years, so I haven't seen it again, but I think it's not 'touring' as much as it used to.

I should definitely look into the history of airships.

Thanks for the great comment!! : )

  5. I love your mandela and I have heard great thibgs about Patrick Rothfuss. Hope you ebjoy them all.

I know I will enjoy all of these books!
