This is a fun weekly event hosted by
Carolyn at Book Chick City,
and runs every Saturday.
Each participating blogger features books
s/he hasn't actually bought yet,
but desperately wants to read!!
but desperately wants to read!!
These books can be either newly-published,
to be released in the near future,
or in print for several years.
If you'd like to know more, just click HERE.
In my particular case, any books I place
on my wish list are strictly the print versions,
since I do not read ebooks.
Here are my choices for this week!

What happens to the girls nobody sees—the ones who are ignored, mistreated, hidden away? The girls nobody hears when they cry for help?
Fourteen-year-old Luce is one of those lost girls. After her father vanishes in a storm at sea, she is stuck in a grim, gray Alaskan fishing village with her alcoholic uncle. When her uncle crosses an unspeakable line, Luce reaches the depths of despair. Abandoned on the cliffs near her home, she expects to die when she tumbles to the icy, churning waves below. Instead, she undergoes an astonishing transformation and becomes a mermaid.

These all sound terrific, and I have already
put them on my Amazon wish list,
as well as on my "to read" bookshelf
at Goodreads!!
Sooner or later, they will be gracing my
actual bookshelves, in my overcrowded
home library!!
Oh, happy day!!!
So what books are on all of your
wish lists this week?
I want to read Lost Voices and Bloodlines too. I haven't heard of a blight of mages before though - it kinda has a creepy cover lol
ReplyDeleteI just discovered "A Blight of Mages" through a blog -- Bookish, where it's one of the giveaway prizes. I went to Goodreads, read the synopsis, and liked it! As for the cover, it kinda leaves me indifferent. I would have preferred a prettier one...lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting!! : )
I loved the Vampire Academy series SO much - I can't wait to read Bloodlines, I just hope it's as good :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Book Chick City!
ReplyDeleteI have the first three books of the series, but haven't read them yet...there are SO MANY books I want to get to!! My TBR pile is just immense! But I will start on this series -- sometime this year, I hope!
Thanks for the comment!! Also, thanks for including my blog link in your 'On My Wishlist' post! And you're very welcome for the synopsis link!! : )
I still haven't read any Karen Miller, but she's on my wishlist.
ReplyDeleteMy main book on the TBR list is Blake Charlton's Spellwright, though I need to read all of my other TBR books before I can get my hands on it :P
