This Week's Question
Which book(s) would you like
Santa to bring you this year?
(Submitted by Maria @
My Answer
Of course, just ONE book won't be enough, lol! I would like Santa to remember that I'm a totally hopeless book addict, so I will DEFINITELY need more than one! I wonder how many books he can fit in his sack..... It IS a pretty big sack, after all!
So, Santa, here's my list! (I'll be SURE to leave you several kinds of cookies on a special table by the tree, along with a cup of nice, sweet, hot chocolate, topped with whipped cream! Unless it happens to be hot, in which case I hope you love lemonade. Or would you prefer iced tea?)
One more thing, Santa dear! Please click on the book covers below to see more information about these books on Goodreads! I happen to know you read my blog! (Yeah, you guessed it....Rudolph just CAN'T keep any secrets!)
Thanks so very much, Santa!! Ten books isn't that bad, right? Just remember -- I've been EXTRA NICE this year!! :)

It is a good time to add to our book collections. On the other hand, with the size of our TBRs maybe it is not a good time to add to our book collection:) Seriously, this is why for the last few years I have only asked for reference books, cookbooks and picture books for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHey, Brian!
DeleteYes, this is the PERFECT time of year to add to our book collections. I only wish Santa would bring at least ONE of the books above..... but alas, no one in my immediate vicinity is interested in giving me a book as a Christmas present! :( Both my husband and family say I already have too many books, with many of them unread. Well, it's true. Lol. But still, I would LOVE to get a book as a Christmas present!! :) :)
I usually end up being my own Santa!! Lol.
Oh, you cook? Cool!! I haven't cooked much in my life, except when I tried to become a vegetarian, several years ago. Now I'm trying to do that again, so I will have to look around my library for my little Hare Krishna cookbook. Seriously, their food is SO tasty!! And I have NEVER liked having to handle raw meat when cooking. So maybe THIS time I will stick to eating only veggies!! (Plus rice, pasta, beans, and potatoes, otherwise, it will be a VERY boring diet!)
Thanks for the nice comment!! <3 :)
Oh my gosh, the cover of Before She Ignites is gorgeous...I think I'm going to need that book under my tree this year too!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend. - Katie
Hi, Katie!
DeleteYeah, I LOVE that cover, too!! I'm glad you're going to ask Santa to bring it to you!! :) :)
Thanks for commenting back!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)
One book is definitely not enough.
ReplyDeleteI see two I would read in your list....The Bear and The Nightingale and Moonlight Over Manhattan.
Thanks for a great question, Maria.
Have a good weekend.
Hi, Elizabeth!
DeleteNo, ABSOLUTELY NOT!! Lol. At least two from this list would be good, I think! :)
I'm glad to see that you like two of the books on this list. I am ESPECIALLY eager to get "Moonlight Over Manhattan" myself!!
You're very welcome for the question, Elizabeth! Thanks for all of your encouragement!! You're SO SWEET!!! <3 <3 <3
Thanks for the well wishes! Hope you have a good weekend, too!! HUGS!!!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)
My Santa wish list goes up tomorrow, and I find myself wanting to keep adding to it. I tried to stick to only 10 though (it's the Top Ten Tuesday). My wish list is much longer than that, as I'm sure you can relate.
ReplyDeleteI have a copy of The Bear and the Nightingale and just need to make time read it. Hopefully this winter. That's my plan anyway. :-) Moonlight Over Manhattan is another one on my shelf I need to get to. I adore Sarah Morgan.
I hope you really like The Hate U Give. My mom is reading it at the moment. I need to ask her what she thinks. It's definitely one of my favorite books read this year.
Enjoy the rest of your week, Maria! I hope you are able to get your hands on all of these!
Hi, Wendy!
DeleteSorry for the late reply..... :( I almost didn't see this comment!
Of course all of us bookworms keep adding to our wish lists and TBRs!! We just can't help doing that! Lol. So yeah, it's pretty tough trying to stick to "just" ten books! LOL.
Oh, you have a copy of "The Bear and the Nightingale"? Lucky you!! I hope you read and enjoy it soon!
I couldn't resist, and bought myself "Moonlight Over Manhattan" when I was at B&N last Sunday night. I've already read two of Sarah Morgan's Christmas novels, and GREATLY enjoyed them! So now I adore her, too!! :) :)
I will DEFINITELY be reading "The Hate U Give" this coming year! It'a a very important book indeed! I hope your mom is liking it. It's not a pleasant read by any means, but again, a vitally important book.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your week, too, Wendy! The Big Day is getting closer and closer! Our school term will end the day after tomorrow. I NEED that vacation!!
Thanks for such a LOVELY, WONDERFUL comment!! HUGS TO YOU AND MOUSE!!!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)
