Here's my choice for this week!
Guardian of Secrets
(Library Jumpers, Book 2)
Hardcover, 400 pages
Entangled Teen
February 7, 2017
Fantasy, Romance, Young Adult Fiction
Being a Sentinel isn’t all fairytales and secret gardens.
Sure, jumping through books into the world’s most beautiful libraries to protect humans from mystical creatures is awesome. No one knows that better than Gia Kearns, but she could do without the part where people are always trying to kill her. Oh, and the fact that Pop and her had to move away from her friends and life as she knew it.
And if that isn’t enough, her boyfriend, Arik, is acting strangely. Like, maybe she should be calling him “ex,” since he’s so into another girl. But she doesn’t have time to be mad or even jealous, because someone has to save the world from the upcoming apocalypse, and it looks like that’s going to be Gia.

Maybe. If she survives.
Why I'm waiting on this one!
Well, this is another great new find!! I had NO idea such an AWESOME book existed! The plot includes several things I LOVE -- a kick-butt female protagonist, books and libraries, and quite a bit of suspense! I'm SO very intrigued! And, of course, that cover just seals the deal! I'm staking my claim!!
This is the first book in the series, with an equally GORGEOUS cover!!

ReplyDeleteAWESOME PICK! Hope you enjoy!
Here's my WoW
Amy @ A Magical World Of Words
Hi, Amy!
DeleteDEFINITELY AMAZING!! This is the type of novel I LOVE to get into, precisely because it has a little bit of all of those GREAT ingredients! I know I'll enjoy it when I got to it! Glad you love it, too!!
Thanks so much for the GREAT comment!! <3 :)
So I've read the first book in the series and I can say, yes, you need to read it. I really enjoyed it and if I recall, it was a 4/5 read for me. I like the covers, but for some reason, when I see them, the girl always reminds me of Aria (Lucy Hale) from Pretty Little Liars (a guilty pleasure of mine). I do think you'd like this series as it has some really interesting elements in it - plus, LIBRARIES!
ReplyDeleteHi, Barb!
DeleteOh, you've read the first book? Four out of five stars is really good!
How interesting that the girl on the cover reminds you of a character from "Pretty Little Liars". And that's another series I would like to read.... It just never ends! Lol.
Yeah, I will ABSOLUTELY love any series that has LIBRARIES and BOOKS in it!!
Thanks for the GREAT comment!! <3 :)
I've seen the first book, but not read it! I know it was pretty popular when it published. I love this sequel's cover! I especially love covers with the couple on it. :D I hope you enjoy this book when you get the chance to read it!
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous week, Maria. =)
Check out my WoW post!
Hi, Alyssa!
DeleteYou know, I had not heard of this series before. Then I discovered this sequel, and of course now I want to read the series! Lol.
I LOVE covers that depict couples!! YAAAAS!!!
I know I'll really enjoy this book when I get to it!!
Hope you have a fabulous week, too!!
Thanks for the GREAT comment!! <3 :)
Ooh that's a nice cover (and so was Thief of Lies- I remember seeing that one!) And it's close- February's not far away! Sounds great- libraries and jumping and creatures lol. Hope it's great!
ReplyDeleteHi, Greg!
DeleteYes, it is!! And I agree about "Thief of Lies", too!
Of course I'll always be interested in books that include books and libraries in their plots! I Know I'll love this one!
Thanks for the nice comment!! :)
I rememeber Thief of Lies too but I had no idea the new one was already on the horizon! And you're so right: beautiful beautiful cover!
ReplyDeleteHi, Verushka!
DeleteI have just discovered this series, so I'm very happy that the second one is coming up in February! That way, I can get both books (but not right away, lol) and read them back to back!
Glad you love the cover, too!!
Thanks for the nice comment!! <3 :)
