  1. I LOVE humorous PNR books. MaryJanice Davidson, Darynda Jones, and Katie MacAlister are my faves, although Angie Fox weaves a funny tale, too! They just seem to make me happier when I read them, although I love the serious books, too.

    1. Hi, Lori!

I, too, LOVE such books! Although I've heard of the authors you've mentioned, I have yet to read their novels. I do own "Much Ado About Vampires". That cover......sigh......

Have you ever read Lynsay Sands and Kerrelyn Sparks? They're very funny, too, especially Kerrelyn.

I feel just as you do -- I enjoy reading the serious books, as well.

Thanks for participating, and GOOD LUCK!!! : )

  13. I have read some funny PNR. I generally enjoy the humor mixed in with the adventure and danger those are the most fun for me. Rose Pressey has some pretty funny stuff and if you enjoy over the top humor Mary Janice Davidson has a good series for that with the reluctant vampire queen Betsy. Thank you for participating in this fun hop.

  17. Oh man...I can't think of any. I have a horrible memory and tend to not remember the titles of the books, even while I'm reading them! Of course, a Kindle helps that along; I don't exactly see the spine of the book whenever I start reading again. I do love humor in my reads. I especially love snarky characters :D Dramatic ones aren't bad either. It all just depends on the individual story. No discrimination here, but if it doesn't hold my interest, it's gone.

    1. Hi, there!

I'm with you. It doesn't matter whether the book is funny or dramatic. If it's written well, it will definitely hold my interest. Sometimes I'm in the mood for something dramatic, and sometimes I want to split my sides laughing! It all depends! Lol.

      Thanks for participating!! : )

  21. I think the closest I've ever come to funny PNR are Karen Chance's books, which are filled with snark. I don't think it would really matter, though, whether it was dramatic or funny, as long as the story was solid and I could relate to the characters.

    1. Hi, Toni!

You have a good point there. It's true -- the most important thing is how well the story is written. And good characterizations are obviously very important!
