As a bonus, you can include information on the artist, designer, and/or photographer in your post, but it's not required. You can simply feature a cover and explain why you love it!
Here's my choice for this week!
(Nightshade Prequel #1)
Hardcover, 430 pages
Philomel Books
(An imprint of Penguin Books (USA) Inc.)
August 7, 2012
Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy,
Feminist Fiction, Young Adult Fiction
Why do I love this cover?
The first things that caught my eye were the fierceness and determination of this beautiful female warrior. Next I noticed that strange, curved blade she's holding in her right hand. It's obviously razor-sharp!
This indomitable warrior totally dominates the cover, with her intense, penetrating stare at the viewer, and that weapon raised, ready for action. She's definitely not to be messed with!
In short, this is truly inspired book cover design!
The hypnotic cover photograph is by
the very talented
who specializes in fantasy photography,
while the cover design is by
who designs covers for
the Penguin Young Readers Group,
a division of Penguin Group (USA) Inc.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find

What do you think of my choice?
What beautiful cover(s)
are you featuring this week?
Another great looking cover.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if that strange looking weapon is part of the plot. I wonder if there is a name for it.
