in my hometown!!

I had, of course, heard a lot about the book,
so when I received an e-mail from
Books and Books, informing me that
three of the hottest YA authors,
including Meg Cabot, 
were coming to South Florida to sign their books,
I practically freaked out -- in a good way!

I'm so lucky to live near a bookstore that
hosts these author events every day of the year!
I can't always go, naturally,
nor do I want to, because I'm not interested
in every single book they present.
Besides, I'd go broke!

If a book/author looks interesting,
and the event is on the weekend, I will definitely attend!

This particular novel, being a retelling
of the myth of Persephone,
is particularly fascinating to me,
since I love Greek mythology!!

So, as soon as I've finished my current reads,
I'm diving right into this one!!

    I've read a few contemporary books by Cabot if I remember correctly. Will definitely give this one a try! Thanks for bringing it to my attention....& also, thanks for commenting on my review of Bait by Annie Nicholas. I'm so glad you liked the review. I'm always a little unsure about posting them as I'm from Germany, but write only in English.
    I happen to be a Rob fan, too! Bet you wouldn't have thought that, huh? :-) The guy on the cover really looks a bit Edward-ish. Guess what? I found the same model on another cover.     This will be the first Meg Cabot book I'll read, but I've heard a lot of good things about her. And this one deals with a Greek myth, which makes it even more interesting to me!!

    Even though I am not into vampires. I think if I do branch out, I'd read something by Meg Cabot. She seems to be really popular. Any titles you recommend I start with? Blog Hop & Follow Friday!

    Well, actually, I'm not that familiar with her books. I do know she's the author of "The Princess Diaries", which I haven't read.

    "Abandon" looks like it might be a good book to start off with. I love the original Greek myth it's based on, which is why I want to read this novel. But it has nothing to do with vampires. I changed the book I had originally chosen for this post, and forgot to remove the label "vampire romance". I've already fixed that. Sorry for the confusion...

    You're very welcome!! I know I'll enjoy this book, given the subject matter. And yes, I had a GREAT time at the "This Is Teen" event, even though I'm not a teen! Lol. Ever since I read The Twilight Saga, which I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE (as if it weren't obvious, from the little vid of Edward posted here, lol), I've been absolutely HOOKED on YA fiction!!! So I flipped when I found out that these authors were coming to a bookstore near me (10 minutes away...ah, bliss!), and I knew I just HAD to attend!! I've read several reviews of their books on other blogs, and they've all been very positive.
