From Richelle Mead, the
#1 internationally bestselling author of the Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series,
comes a breathtaking new fantasy steeped in Chinese folklore.
For as long as Fei can remember, there has been no sound in her village, where rocky terrain and frequent avalanches prevent residents from self-sustaining. Fei and her people are at the mercy of a zipline that carries food up the treacherous cliffs from Beiguo, a mysterious faraway kingdom.
When villagers begin to lose their sight, deliveries from the zipline shrink and many go hungry. Fei’s home, the people she loves, and her entire existence are plunged into crisis, under threat of darkness and starvation.
But soon Fei is awoken in the night by a searing noise, and sound becomes her weapon.
Richelle Mead takes readers on a triumphant journey from the peak of Fei’s jagged mountain village to the valley of Beiugo, where a startling truth and an unlikely romance will change her life forever...

This year and every year I am very thankful for my amazing family, food on my plate and a roof over my head!
ReplyDeleteI'm grateful to my family for making sure I have a roof over my head.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for my husband and my little angel. When I met my husband I became fortunate to experiencing so much love and care aside from my family and friends. He gave me a life I thought I'll never had, and when he gave me my little angel it was then I knew he's meant for me. Some said I married young and that I'll regret it someday, but what they see was only the appearance. They don't see the love and the sincerity and trust in his eyes, because they're not me. Sometimes in love you see things invisible to other people. And I say that's how you know you were both meant to be. I'm too young to know everything about love, but it's what I knew and what I felt for him that matters right? so yeah I am very much thankful for finding true love at a very young age :)
ReplyDeleteI got married this year with the most wonderful person in the world. I am so thankful and grateful for having the chance to meet him and have in in my life!
