Author Serendipity #4: Kim Stanley Robinson

Welcome to my new
book meme!

The purpose of this new feature will be to highlight those authors I have recently discovered, and whose books I would love to read. Such discoveries might come about through browsing on the Internet (on Goodreads, Shelfari, or Amazon, a chance encounter with an interesting book in a bookstore, or through other bloggers' recommendations.

The authors I choose will be those who write in my favorite genres, and might be either emerging authors, or have been in print for a while. They will, however, be entirely new to me.

I hope you will enjoy this feature, and will also decide to acquaint yourselves with the authors I present here.

Here's my fourth discovery!!

Robinson's newest book, 2312, was published on May 22nd.  I have just found out about it through Goodreads!  When I visited the book's website, and read an excerpt, I was immediately excited!  The prose style is just exquisite, and the visual imagery Robinson evokes is so stunning I was simply hooked!  Of course, the cover is just as stunning as the prose!  From Goodreads, I went immediately to Amazon and placed my order for this novel!

Here's the book!

    1. Hey, Steph!!

You know, I was on Goodreads a while ago, and saw this book advertised in one of their ads. Well, I investigated at once, because this cover just blew me away! I was just as blown away by the prose!! This man has just become one of my favorite authors, based on an excerpt from this book! How COOL is that, right? And I'm ecstatic that the book is already mine, even though I've just ordered it!!!!

I'm so glad you like this feature! I haven't published any of these since February. Now I think I'll have to do post on a bi-weekly basis, at least.

Thank you so much for visiting and leaving me such a positive comment!! You've made my night!! <3
