In this new instalment in the No. 1 New York Times bestselling series, Mercy Thompson must face a deadly enemy to defend all she loves . . .

My name is Mercedes Athena Thompson Hauptman, and I am a car mechanic.

And a coyote shapeshifter . . . And the mate of the Alpha of the Columbia Basin werewolf pack.
Even so, none of that would have gotten me into trouble if, a few months ago, I hadn't stood upon a bridge and taken responsibility for the safety of the citizens who lived in our territory. It seemed like the thing to do at the time. It should have only involved hunting down killer goblins, zombie goats, and an occasional troll. Instead, our home was viewed as neutral ground, a place where humans would feel safe to come and treat with the fae.

The reality is that nothing and no one is safe. As generals and politicians face off with the Gray Lords of the fae, a storm is coming and her name is Death.
But we are pack, and we have given our word. We will die to keep it.

Why I can't wait for this one!

OH.MY.GOSH. Yes, yes, I know....I need to start with the first book first.....but I just couldn't resist showcasing this latest installment in this bestselling series!!! And....this is one of my New Year's resolutions -- to start reading this series already!! Because I am ALWAYS interested in novels about kick-butt female protagonists, and Mercy Thompson is the quintessential one!! And, of course, this latest book  sounds so FREAKING GOOD!!!!

Love.
Magic.
Revolution.

When smallpox kills her parents, seventeen-year-old Camille Durbonne must find a way to provide for her frail sister while managing her volatile brother. Relying on petty magic--la magie ordinaire--Camille painstakingly transforms scraps of metal into money to buy the food and medicine they need. But when the coins won't hold their shape and her brother disappears with the family's savings, Camille must pursue a richer, more dangerous mark: the glittering court of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.

With the dark magic she learned from her mother, Camille transforms herself into 'the Baroness de la Fontaine' and is swept up into life at the Palace of Versailles, where aristocrats both fear and hunger for la magie. Her resentment of the rich at odds with the allure of glamour and excess, Camille is astonished to find that her would-be suitor Lazare, a handsome young inventor whom she thought shared her dreams of liberty, is also living a double life.

As the Baroness de la Fontaine, Camille gambles at cards and flirts, desperate to maintain her place at court and keep herself and her sister off the streets. But la magie has its costs. When a scheming courtier blackmails her and Lazare's affections shift, Camille loses control of her secrets. Then revolution erupts, and she must choose--love or loyalty, democracy or aristocracy, reality or la magie--before Paris burns.

Bestselling author of Caraval Stephanie Garber calls Enchantée "a lit firework crackling with treacherous magic, decadent romance, and disguises that take on lives of their own--deliciously addictive!" Gita Trelease's lush, imaginative debut fantasy is perfect for anyone looking for immersive magic in the world of Sofia Copola's Marie Antoinette.

Why I can't wait for this one!

OH.MY.GOSH. This sounds so FREAKING GOOD!!!!
I haven't read any good historical fiction in quite a LOOONG time and the combination with  fantasy in this novel has me TOTALLY excited!!!
And the setting and time period? LOVE both!! I mean, the court of Marie Antoinette, the French Revolution?! Just.....WOW.
Plus, that cover REALLY rocks!!  It has such an air of mystery and intrigue....and magic, too, of course!
This also brings back nostalgic memories of
studying French in high school, and dreaming of Paris.....

 Agency
 William Gibson
Hardcover, 496  pages
Berkley Books
    April 2, 2019
Cyberpunk, Fantasy, Science Fiction

"One of the most visionary, original, and quietly influential writers currently working" (The Boston Globe) returns with a brand-new novel.

In William Gibson's first novel since 2014's New York Times bestselling The Peripheral, a gifted "app-whisperer," hired to beta test a mysterious new product, finds her life endangered by her relationship with her surprisingly street-smart and combat-savvy "digital assistant."

Why I can't wait for this one!

I've been wanting to read this writer's work for quite some time now. Two of his books that are very well-known are Neuromancer (1984) and Mono Lisa Overdrive (1988). From what I know of him, he's a very inventive creator, so I really should get to his books! Before I read this new one, though, I'd like to get Neuromancer under my belt, at least!

William Ford Gibson is an American-Canadian writer who has been called the father of the cyberpunk subgenre of science fiction, having coined the term cyberspace in 1982 and popularized it in his first novel, Neuromancer(1984), which has sold more than 6.5 million copies worldwide.

While his early writing took the form of short stories, Gibson has since written nine critically acclaimed novels (one in collaboration), contributed articles to several major publications, and has collaborated extensively with performance artists, filmmakers and musicians. His thought has been cited as an influence on science fiction authors, academia, cyberculture, and technology.

From the mountains of Spain to the streets of Prague, the sequel to Unearthed is a white-knuckle ride that will send readers hurtling back to earth, and leave them breathless until the last page.

The earth's fate rests in Mia and Jules's hands in the epic conclusion to New York Times best-selling authors Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner's tomb-raiding sci-fi duology.

Why I can't wait for this one!

I've had my eye on the first book, Unearthed, for quite some time now. I NEED to read books by this dynamic duo! So I'm thinking that I'll ask Santa (aka my hubby) to give me the first book for Christmas, and the second one as an early birthday present....LOL.

But seriously, I do want to read these two books, because they combine two of my FAVORITE genres -- science fiction, and YA!!!!
BONUS!!
Both these books have DYNAMITE covers!!!

Here's the first book in this
bestselling duology!
