Only when one knows what happens later on, does one become aware of them. Of course, each re-reading of a classic usually reveals new things.

Thanks for complimenting my questions, as well as for participating!Maria Beharhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13635809880830316283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5276110560172164522.post-52896456495882025602014-10-14T02:04:45.799-04:002014-10-14T02:04:45.799-04:00I like your insightful thoughts about the foreshad...I like your insightful thoughts about the foreshadowing question. You know, I didn't really see the foreshadowing until I read the question. I had to re-listen to this chapter to make sure and sure enough...it was there.

Great questions for this week, Maria!Vonniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03987861951233408815noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5276110560172164522.post-36572443026275859042014-10-13T13:49:55.904-04:002014-10-13T13:49:55.904-04:00Hi, Brian!

I do believe these are the roles Adele and Jane would have had, had they been of the same age, in modern-day high school. Glad you liked my comparison!

I'm glad you agree regarding Jane's reason for saying that she would not have Maria Beharhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13635809880830316283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5276110560172164522.post-88675382454269321652014-10-13T13:42:41.204-04:002014-10-13T13:42:41.204-04:00Hi, James!

He's planning something, and later events will bear this out. Of course, this section of the book would be just as puzzling to a first-time reader as it was to Jane herself.

Again, I didn'Maria Beharhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13635809880830316283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5276110560172164522.post-27947117789947574242014-10-13T05:50:52.311-04:002014-10-13T05:50:52.311-04:00Great insights as usual Maria.

She is attempting to project an outward appearance of someone who is Brian Josephhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15139559400312336791noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5276110560172164522.post-64133361248960666442014-10-13T04:42:50.350-04:002014-10-13T04:42:50.350-04:00Once again you have provided fascinating insight i...Once again you have provided fascinating insight into the book through your answers to these questions. The last question is particularly interesting because it focuses on what action we may suspect will happen as Rochester and Jane go forward. I also enjoyed the contrast between Adele and Jane which makes Jane an even more interesting character for me.Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00561320676355168336noreply@blogger.com
