 Smoke and Iron
(The Great Library, Book 4)
Rachel Caine
Hardcover, 448 pages
Berkley Books
     July 3, 2018
Fantasy, Historical Fiction,
Young Adult Fiction

To save the Great Library, the unforgettable characters from Ink and Bone, Paper and Fire, and Ash and Quill put themselves in danger in the next thrilling adventure in the New York Times bestselling series.

The opening moves of a deadly game have begun. Jess Brightwell has put himself in direct peril, with only his wits and skill to aid him in a game of cat and mouse with the Archivist Magister of the Great Library. With the world catching fire, and words printed on paper the spark that lights rebellion, it falls to smugglers, thieves, and scholars to save a library thousands of years in the making...if they can stay alive long enough to outwit their enemies.

Why I can't wait for this one!

WOWZA!!! As usual, I haven't even started a series yet, and a NEW volume appears on the horizon! Lol!! I've been wanting to get to this one for some time now. Well, there are enough installments for me to go smoothly from one to the other! And hopefully July will be swinging around in NO time! Lol.
Of course, any books dealing with BOOKS and LIBRARIES and BOOKSTORES (Oh, my!) will automatically ping my literary detector radar!! Lol!!

Here are the previous volumes in this bookworm's paradise series!!

  1. Well, the dogs and I are trying to stay dry in our neck of the woods so I hope you are faring better. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your pick this week and even though I'm really behind on this series, I did read the first one and adored it. Also, I think the new one has the best cover yet (although you know I am drawn to dark - haha). Thanks for sharing the link to the short stories (Also, I think you're link-up is directing wrong).

So are you ready for some zombies. Booker said to tell you he is an expert zombie hunter if you need some help!

    1. Hi, Barb!

Oh, it's raining where you live? Well, I sure wish we had some rain! Lol. It's VERY sunny here, but along with that comes HEAT. UGH. Although I must be honest and say that we've had some pretty cool days, too. But I'm NOT looking forward to the summer months. (Although here in Miami, it's pretty much summer all year round, lol. We just get a few cold days.)

I'm SO glad you LOVE my pick!! :) :) Yeah, I've been wanting to get into this series myself! And ALL the covers are SO GORGEOUS!!! I don't think I can pick a favorite one!!

As for the links to the stories, I double-checked them, and they do lead you directly to the stories. Just be aware that the titles of these stories are not on the covers. The covers have different titles on them. Why they did that, I have NO idea!

Yup!! I'm gearing up for the zombies!! Lol. My copy of "Dread Nation" will be arriving the week of April 9th. And thank Booker for offering his help! We gotta GET those zombies!!!! LOL.

Thanks for the GREAT comment!! HUGS TO YOU AND THE BOYS, AND WOOF, WOOF TO THEM!! <3 <3 <3 :) :) :)m
