    1. Hi, Chuckles!

Oh, it definitely is!! I was SO happy to get these two books!! The giveaway allowed participants to pick whichever book or books they wanted. Thanks for the congrats!!!

You know, I'm the same way with giveaways! But I figure that, if I don't get an email notifying me I've won, that obviously means I haven't. Lol. I should really keep a record of giveaways entered, though.

I will definitely enjoy these books! Thanks for the lovely comment!! : )

  4. I think that you featured Prudence on either Shelf Candy Saturday or another feature. I have never read Steampunk but the genre looks so interesting that I want to give it a try.

I am also really interested in airships including the history of the real ones. Based on the summery of this book I think that one features prominently in the plot.

    1. Hey, Brian!

Yes, I think it was either on "Shelf Candy Saturday", or "Waiting On Wednesday". I have never read Steampunk, either, would you believe? And I'm SO interested in doing so! I love the mix of alternate history and science fiction in these books!

I've noticed that most Steampunk novels feature an airship on their covers. It seems that airships usually feature prominently in these novels.

Somewhere back in my high school World History classes, I remember reading about the Hindenburg disaster. I believe that was when the idea of using airships was discarded, as they were then deemed too dangerous for commercial passenger use. It's fascinating that they are included in these Steampunk novels.

Down here in South Florida, we had "the Goodyear blimp". Years ago, it used to be seen a lot, especially on summer days, floating along the coast, on Miami Beach. I haven't been to the beach there in several years, so I haven't seen it again, but I think it's not 'touring' as much as it used to.

I should definitely look into the history of airships.

Thanks for the great comment!! : )
