Book Synopsis

After a mysterious cameo from Charles Lindbergh, it’s up to Jonah to save his town in the seventh book of the New York Times bestselling The Missing series, which Kirkus Reviews calls “plenty of fun and great for history teachers as well.

It’s morning as usual at the Skidmore household—until Charles Lindbergh, the famous historical pilot, appears in their living room. Jonah can hardly believe his eyes—and then Lindbergh grabs Katherine and vanishes again. And that’s not all. Chip, Andrea, and all the other children from the plane have disappeared too. And worst of all, Jonah’s parents and all the other adults in his town have de-aged into children.

Jonah is the only one left, and the only one who can save everyone. With the help of de-aged JB and Angela, he has to collect the clues. And they lead directly back to Gary and Hodge, and a terrible plot that could mean the end of everything Jonah has ever loved. Can Jonah put the pieces together before time runs out?

Why am I waiting on this book?

I have long been fascinated by the
concept of time travel, so
any novel dealing with this topic
will most definitely get my attention!
The plot of this one sure
sounds exciting, and that cover....
it's absolutely GORGEOUS!!
Besides, I see that the city of Paris is
somehow part of the story,
so I'm totally sold!
It's great to discover awesome writers
like this one obviously is!

  5. Hi Maria,

Personally I am fascinated by "what if" stories as to how things would be different if one thing had changed in the past. Sometimes these are time travel sometimes these are time travel sometimes these are just alternate reality stories.

This entire series sounds like such fun. I look forward to reading as to what you have to say when finished it.

Of course I am now thinking about the old Star Trek episode "the City on the Edge of Forever". I thought that was terribly tragic but so beautifully done variation on the story.

    1. Hey, Brian!

Oh, I'm fascinated by alternate histories myself! I do need to read more of them. And time travel is one of my favorite themes in science fiction! So I want to start with the very first book in this series.

You've mentioned one of my FAVORITE Star Trek episodes!! It's such a sad, poignant tale..... It was beautifully acted out, too. According to this episode was written by Harlan Ellison, but was revised by several other writers before actual filming took place. I've seen this particular episode many times over the years, and it never fails to touch me.....

Thanks for visiting and leaving such a great comment!! : )
