Waiting On Wednesday #74: Teardrop, by Lauren Kate

This is a weekly event hosted by
It showcases future releases
which we book bloggers are
eagerly anticipating!!

Here's my choice for this week!

(Teardrop #1)
Hardcover, 472 pages
Delacorte Books for Young Readers
October 22, 2013
Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy,
Young Adult Fiction

From the Goodreads Synopsis

Never, ever cry. . . . Eureka Boudreaux's mother drilled that rule into her daughter years ago. But now her mother is gone, and everywhere Eureka goes he is there: Ander, the tall, pale blond boy who seems to know things he shouldn't, who tells Eureka she is in grave danger, who comes closer to making her cry than anyone has before.

Why I'm waiting on this one:

This book definitely has a very unique plot!
I've certainly never heard of such
a story premise before.
I want to see why Eureka cries so much.
Of course, I also want to see
why Ander is so obviously stalking her...
It sure looks like this is the start
of another great Lauren Kate series!!
I wouldn't miss it for the world!!!
Besides, I love that cover,
with the dress that turns into a
big splash of water!
Brilliant!!

So what do you think of my choice?
What spellbinding books
are you eagerly awaiting

this time around?

  1. This looks interesting, but I didn't like Lauren Kate's other books so I don't think I'll be reading this series. But you never know, I might succumb because that cover is so pretty!

    1. Hi, Shaheen!

Yes, the cover is definitely VERY pretty! I did like the Fallen series, although not as much as The Twilight Saga. I don't think ANY series can top that one, for me!!

Thanks for dropping by and commenting!! :)

  2. I have never heard of a plot like this either. It has a vague feel of something out of mythology or folklore but I am not sure if anything exactly matched this. Very imaginative!

    1. Hey, Brian!

Yeah, I don't think I've ever come across something like this, although I understand what you mean when you say it could be something out of mythology or folklore. It very well could be -- who knows? For sure I want to read it!!

Thanks for dropping by and commenting!! :)

    1. Hi, Teresa!

I'm so glad you like my choice! Although I do like her Fallen series, there were times I got a little impatient with the plot, especially in book 2 -- "Torment". I'm happy that you're willing to give this new one a chance.

Thanks for returning the visit and the comment!! :)
