Stacking The Shelves #12

This is a weekly event hosted by Jennifer, Lili,
Stephanie, and Tynga @ Tynga's Reviews!
As the title implies, this is all about sharing
the books you're adding to your shelves,
be they physical or virtual.

This week's haul!!

Books Purchased

This week, it's been strictly all
mass market paperbacks!
Why, I don't know...
it just turned out that way.
And my first hard-earned purchase
was a great fantasy series
I had never heard of before, but
coveted when I first saw it on good ol' Amazon!
The first book introduces a woman
named "Rhapsody", who is a singer,
and becomes involved in an
epic journey through a world full of magic.
There are a total of 6 books
in the series so far.
You can buy the boxed set
of the first 3 books

Below you will find links for
each individual volume.

Rhapsody: Child of Blood
(Symphony of Ages #1)
Elizabeth Haydon

Prophecy: Child of Earth
(Symphony of Ages #2)
Elizabeth Haydon

Destiny: Child of the Sky
(Symphony of Ages #3)
Elizabeth Haydon

This novel is for all those of us women
who find something "verra" special
in Scottish men...
This story also involves time travel,
which suits me just fine!!
(And this is such a great cover...)

Must Love Kilts
(Highlander #5)
Allie Mackay
(aka Sue Ellen Welfonder)

This next novel encompasses an
interesting combination of genres.
It's a romance/suspense/paranormal novel.
I love the combination!
In fact, I featured this book in
one of my "Waiting On Wednesday" posts
some time back.

Crystal Gardens
(Ladies of Lantern Street #1)
Amanda Quick
(aka Jayne Ann Krentz)

Here's another book for fans of Scottish men!
This one deals with a love rekindled,
in a rather risqué manner...
Of course, I love that cover,
especially the left-hand side!!

The Duke's Perfect Wife
(Highland Pleasures #4)
Jennifer Ashley

Last but definitely not least,
is the third book in the fascinating
House of Comarre series.
In this volume, Malkolm and Chrysabelle
must find the Ring of Sorrows,
while the Kubai Mata are kept
very busy throughout...

Bad Blood
(House of Comarre #3)
Kristen Painter

So what do you think of my haul?
What fascinating books
did you stack your shelves with
this week?

  1. You got a very nice haul. I've never heard of the fantasy series you got. My haul was all e-books this week. I love E-books. I know, you like print books as well.

    1. Hi, Grace!

Yeah, I had never heard of it either, until I saw it on Amazon. I thought it looked great, so I bought it!

As for e-books, I don't like them at all. I'll go see if any of the ones you got are also available in print editions.

      Thanks for commenting!! :)

    1. Hi, Kara!

I first saw this fantasy on eBay, and KNEW I had to have it! However, I bought it on Amazon. When I checked it out on Goodreads, I saw that there were 3 more books in the series, so that makes a total of 6. And I want to rea them all!! Lol.

I featured "Crystal Gardens" in one of my "Waiting On Wednesday" posts some time back. I thought the plot sounded good, so we'll see. As for "Bad Blood", I've seen mixed reviews of it, so I guess we'll see about this one, as well. Who knows? I might end up agreeing with you!

      Thanks for commenting!! :)

    1. Hi, Emily!

Glad you like my collection! I LOVE the cover of "Bad Blood". I've read the first book in this series, titled "Blood Rights". I thought it was pretty good, too, although I do wish there had been more romance...

      Thanks for commenting!! :)
