Waiting On Wednesday #12: The Faerie Ring, by Kiki Hamilton

This is a weekly book meme, hosted by
which features future releases that we book bloggers
are eagerly anticipating!

My pick for this week is The Faerie Ring,
by Kiki Hamilton.

Kiki Hamilton
Hardcover, 352 pages
Published by Tor Teen/MacMillan
Expected Release Date: Sept. 27, 2011
Genre: YA Fantasy

From the Goodreads Synopsis

The year is 1871, and Tiki has been making a home for herself and her family of orphans in a deserted hideaway adjoining Charing Cross Station in central London. Their only means of survival is by picking pockets. One December night, Tiki steals a ring, and sets off a chain of events that could lead to all-out war with the Fey. For the ring belongs to Queen Victoria, and it binds the rulers of England and the realm of Faerie to peace. With the ring missing, a rebel group of faeries hopes to break the treaty with dark magic and blood—Tiki’s blood.

When I first saw this book on a blog,
I immediately became captivated by the luscious cover!!
Upon further investigation on
Goodreads and Amazon,
I discovered that it has garnered
many positive reviews!

I have always loved fantasy,
and, of course, faeries are something extra-special.
So I'm really looking forward to
the release date for this book, although
I will probably pre-order it way before then!!

What wonderful books are you all waiting on
this Wednesday?

  1. This sounds really good! I love finding new Fey books because they're the only books my little cousin will read, so I read as many as I can so I can suggest them to her. Great pick!

  3. I love the premise of the Faerie Ring - slipping the fantastic into historical moments is a favourite of mine :)

I've still got quite a few books to get through, so there's nothing particular I'm waiting on at the moment. It's hard to look at the growing pile :P
